Crest Support Services is seeking qualified and experienced disability support workers to work with our client in Banks Canberra. Cleaning required is 4 hours every Thursday but we can offer extra cleaning with other clients if required.
Position Summary
The Disability Support Worker – Cleaner provides essential cleaning and domestic assistance services to NDIS participants and other clients to help them maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment. The role combines practical cleaning tasks with a person-centred approach, respecting client preferences, dignity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform general cleaning duties in client homes, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
* Assist clients with domestic chores such as laundry, changing bed linen, and organising household spaces.
* Follow individual support plans and cleaning schedules tailored to client needs and goals.
* Use cleaning products and equipment safely, adhering to infection control and WHS procedures.
* Report any changes in client needs, safety risks, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all visits and tasks completed.
* Uphold confidentiality, respect, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
* Promote client independence by encouraging participation in light household tasks where appropriate.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
