About Us
For nearly 30 years, Mahonys Transport Services has been moving grain from local farms all the way through to export. We work with our own fleet, subcontractors, farmers, and grain traders to keep everything running smoothly from paddock to port.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be working alongside our logistics team, helping keep the wheels turning day‑to‑day. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you'll be hands‑on with:
* Chatting with drivers daily about routes and timeslots
* Sorting out logistics bookings and keeping everyone in the loop
* Keeping our systems up to date with job statuses
* Checking load dockets and prepping info for invoicing
* Backing up the Logistics Officer with scheduling and admin tasks
* Handling calls and emails from customers and drivers
* General admin support for the team
You'll need to be flexible with hours and be part of an on‑call roster. We'll set you up with a work phone and laptop.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone enthusiastic and organised to join our small, tight‑knit logistics team. Logistics experience is a bonus, however if you have solid admin and customer service skills, can juggle multiple things at once, communicate well, and have an eye for detail – we want to hear from you.
* Good at planning, staying organised, and communicating clearly
* Can handle a busy day with competing priorities
* Comfortable with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Strong written and phone skills
* Proactive attitude – someone who is methodical and pays attention to the details
* Happy to learn new systems and apps as we go
* Exposure to "Chain of Responsibility" an advantage
