About the opportunity
As the Senior Programs Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving impactful initiatives within the Education Portfolio, including the Student Portal and Sydney Uni app. This role involves overseeing project organisation by defining roles and responsibilities and performance indicators for staff. They will provide project management and operational support and ensure the seamless implementation and delivery of programs (within budget and timeframes)
A key focus of the role is developing and implementing content governance, communications, and engagement plans for the Student Portal and Sydney Uni app, ensuring alignment with key University and Education Portfolio initiatives. The Senior Programs Officer will use data insights, focus groups, and student feedback to inform decision-making, recommend feature improvements, and maintain a catalogue of enhancements. They will also oversee platform maintenance and optimisation, driving efficiency and ensuring a seamless student experience.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* oversee project organisation, defining roles, responsibilities, and workforce plans for effective implementation
* develop and maintain project charters, methodologies, processes, and templates to align with objectives
* design and implement project plans with clear timelines, milestones, and governance structures
* manage project activities, budgets, and deliverables, addressing risks and ensuring quality
* lead and support project staff through performance management, coaching, and training
* establish governance frameworks, monitor data integrity, and ensure timely stakeholder reporting.

* prior working experience within a tertiary organisation
* strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities

* experience managing budgets, expenditures, and staff performance and development
* skilled in project documentation, standards, methodologies, and providing secretariat support, including minute-taking
* excellent problem-solving, numeracy, and attention to detail in high-data environments
* demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
