About the role:
* Prepare, dispense and supply medicines from prescriptions and inpatient medication charts under supervision for checking and authorisation by a Pharmacist.
* Prepare non-sterile products in accordance with standard formulations and procedures.
* Assist with inventory management within the pharmacy department including, but not limited to, ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and consumables.
* Perform functions related to the maintenance of imprest systems in designated wards areas of the Central Highlands Health Service.
* Assist with stock rotation and expiry date monitoring of pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy and designated areas of the Central Highlands Health Service.
* Process ward returned drugs according to Pharmacy Department procedures.
* Input, and maintain, pharmacy and client data required for information systems maintained by the Central Highlands Health Service Pharmacy Department.
* Assist with Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme claim preparation and processing.
* Participate in quality improvement activities.
* Adhere to relevant Queensland Health policies and standards and relevant legislative requirements.
About you:
Successful completion of, or possession of skills equivalent to, or ability to successfully complete, a recognised Pharmacy Assistant AQF Level 3 training course is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $82,130 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $34.53 - $36.30 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
