As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day store operations. Your key responsibilities will include coordinating and allocating work to team members, ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop environment, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop strong relationships with both retail and automotive trade customers. You will lead and motivate your team, monitor their performance, coach, and train as required, and assist in the recruitment process.
Furthermore, you will promote and sell Pedders products and services with confidence and expertise. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a proactive attitude towards maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the automotive industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team.
* AutoCAD certification is not necessary, however AutoCad skills are beneficial
* Team management and development, leading by example, setting clear goals and expectations and coaching staff in all aspects of there job roles.
* Empowering staff with decision making capabilities, driving business outcomes that meet our company objectives.
* Coaching and mentoring of underperforming employees who require guidance on how to improve their knowledge, skills and productivity.
* Identification and implementation of new ideas and initiatives that could improve productivity, reduce costs, increase revenue and drive operational efficiency.
* Strategic planning and vision for new market growth initiatives and opportunities that align with company objectives.
* Strong knowledge of the auto electrical trade, back ground in hydraulic lifting equipment would be advantageous but not necessary
