Project Manager – GUARDS Clinical Trial
Lead a national ICU trial with global impact.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the Australian arm of the GUARDS trial, a major international study investigating whether dexamethasone can improve survival and recovery in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
Based at the ANZIC-RC, you'll oversee all aspects of the trial at 20 sites nationally—from ethics and site setup through to patient recruitment, data collection, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. This is your opportunity to deliver research that could shape ICU care globally.
You will be responsible for:
* Coordinating multi-site clinical trials, ideally in ICU or hospital settings
* Excellent organisation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
* Familiarity with GCP, NHMRC research ethics, and trial governance
About You
You have a background in clinical or health research and a proven track record in project delivery. You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and love working with clinical teams and research partners to deliver outcomes that matter.
You bring:
* A postgraduate qualification or equivalent in health/public health/research
* Strong experience coordinating multi-site clinical trials, ideally in ICU or hospital settings
* Excellent organisation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
* Familiarity with GCP, NHMRC research ethics, and trial governance
