Founded in 2015, S&R Engineering and Construction is a medium civil engineering construction business delivering civil and water infrastructure projects across Victoria and Southern NSW, including Pipelines, Earthworks, Concrete Works, Sewer, Water & Irrigation Works.
We are currently seeking Site or Project Engineers to join our friendly, enthusiastic team. The role is based in Geelong but will work on projects across the South West Coast Region as well as regional and rural Victoria.

The role entails:
* Assist with managing all phases of civil construction projects, from planning through to completion.
* Support development and oversight of the project program, budget and contract administration. Ensuring these are adhered to, updated and reports prepared as required.
* Assist with ensuring projects are delivered in line with specifications, approved plans and client expectations.
* Proactively identifying and addressing risks and issues with the Senior Project Manager to keep projects on track and on budget.
* Demonstrate leadership in regard to safety, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of people on site and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety requirements including reporting.
* Support the procurement of materials and services in line with the program and assist the Senior Project Manager and Site Supervisor with the organisation of labour and equipment.
* Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoice and claims.
* Conduct site inspections and audits, internal site meetings and assist with pre-starts and toolbox meetings as required.
* Establish and maintain a positive and productive relationships with internal teams, clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
* Attend and participate in client and stakeholder meetings as required.
* Provide regular updates and reports to the Senior Project Manager.
What you’ll need to be successful:
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, assist with managing budgets, and developing reports.
* Knowledge of tenders and contract management requirements.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team to deliver projects to required standards.
* Ability to work autonomously, sound judgement and decision making, and attention to detail appropriate to the position.
* Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders and build relationships allowing effective negotiation and conflict resolution as required.
* A strong commitment to OHS and site safety requirements.
