Applicants suitable for the role but not offered the position for the current vacancy may be placed on a merit list or pool.
If the applicant agrees, the results may be shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies to fill similar roles.
Applicants may be offered future roles without reapplying.
A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months and can fill vacancies across Australia.

The key duties of the position include:
Supervising daily operations of the Finance Accounting & Operations Unit / Management Accounting Unit to ensure timely, high-quality financial services, including accounts payable, receivable, travel, and credit card administration.
Managing financial reporting, including Senate inquiries, CBMS requirements, tax returns, and the annual financial statements, as well as the ANAO audit process.
Developing budgets and forecasts, financial reports, and performance analysis.
Providing strategic financial advice to support organizational objectives.
Maintaining internal controls over financial processes and systems.
Leading and developing a small team, fostering innovation, and building stakeholder relationships.
Supporting the Chief Financial Officer and promoting the Archives' values and strategic goals.
Applicants will be assessed against relevant duties; suitable candidates will be placed on a merit list.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Applicants must be Australian citizens, able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
Essential qualifications include CPA/CA or working towards it, with relevant tertiary qualifications.
Experience in the APS and familiarity with CBMS and Technology One systems are highly desirable.
Applicants should provide the names and contact details of at least two referees, including a current supervisor.
