Waggrakine Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Do you believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in an inclusive and highly engaging learning environment? Waggrakine PS values community involvement and welcomes families as partners in education, believing that maximising parent/carer input and communication increases opportunities for our students to reach their potential. The school provides an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment where every student feels a robust sense of connection and belonging.
Waggrakine PS is an independent public school located in Geraldton, 4 hours north of Perth, on the coast with beaches and balmy weather year-round.
The Role
We are seeking to establish a pool of committed, resilient and highly motivated Primary Teachers who prioritise strong relationships with the whole school community. You will work to engage all children, families and stakeholders in developing a culturally responsive, inclusive school.
Ideal candidates will be highly collaborative and comfortable working in Professional Learning Communities and classroom teams to support each other. The role emphasises using data and research to inform teaching and learning programs and embedding differentiated practice to support all students. A growth mindset, commitment to teamwork, solution-focused problem solving, regular reflective practice and acting on feedback are highly regarded. Applicants should prioritise evidence-based teaching and learning programs and contribute to Waggrakine PS’s agreed pedagogical framework to progress student achievement in line with our purpose: “Every student, every opportunity to succeed, learn and grow.”
