Position Title: Finance Business Partner

End Date: 6 moths from start date
Hours of Work: 7.6 hours per day / 38 hours per week
Pay Rate: $55 - $72 per hour plus Super
Location: Town Hall House
Role Description:
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for providing value and insightful financial analysis and provide support to all divisions of Council in all areas of financial management. The Finance Business Partner will also play a crucial role in assisting with our cost-of-service program, providing financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
Serve as one of the main contacts for allocated divisions of Council, providing advice, reviewing financial performance in collaboration with respective managers, and developing ongoing process improvements.
Key accountabilities
* Collaborate with business units Managers and Executive Directors to monitor financial performance, including business risks, opportunities and implement improvements aligned with strategy to enable informed decision-making.
* Prepare monthly financial reports with detailed variance analysis and clear performance commentary.
* Coordinate delivery of Divisional budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and acting as the primary liaison with FP&R
* Develop and enhance business cases using financial modelling and cash flow analysis to inform strategic decisions.
* Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic initiatives.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial practices.
To be Successful:
* Must have CPA/CA Qualification
* Experience conducting financial analysis and providing risk assessments.
* Be able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
