Business Development Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering quality business development services to clients, including managing key existing client programs and taking a hands-on approach to identifying solutions for our clients.
The primary focus of this role will be to provide an innovative and flexible approach to clients' business development programs, present solutions and recommend improvements in their performance. In addition, an interest in developing the skills of other staff within the business development practice is a key requirement.
The Role:
* Project management of our national clients' business development programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services
* Provide our clients strategic advice in policy, premium, claims and injury management
* Providing Outsourced Return to Work support services for a range of clients
* Report writing and implementation of client retention strategies, including detailed financial feasibility analysis.
* Support the Insurance Brokers as a technical expert in all aspects of Workers' Compensation
* Manage company profile with industry contacts by identifying and maintaining strategic relationships in all key markets
* Engaging our strategic partners to deliver value to our Company
* Be an active member of our consultancy team, willingly working on assigned projects and developing team members' knowledge and skills
* Identifying new business opportunities for the Company
* Tender submissions and presentations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with extensive experience working for a national employer, a broker, or a leadership position within the broader workers compensation sector. You should have demonstrable knowledge and application of policy and premium management across the National Workers' Compensation landscape, as well as experience in developing and executing a new business strategy.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as experience in supervising, coaching and mentoring team members. Proven ability to organise, prioritise, project manage and work well under pressure is also required.
A team player with the ability to demonstrate credibility and gain trust is essential for this role. A tertiary qualification in Allied Health, or equivalent work experience is desirable.
