Renowned for our versatility, we specialise in civil design alongside excelling in construction project management, town planning services, survey, and traffic management planning
The Role Our client is actively seeking an innovative and motivated Civil/Structural Design Engineer to pioneer the growth and development of our expanding engineering capability. This strategic role is designed for an ambitious professional looking to establish and lead a new engineering team, complementing our existing strengths in civil design, surveying, town planning, and project management. The successful candidate will initially focus on straightforward structural projects, providing the opportunity to progressively build our structural capabilities and team, while actively supporting TA Project Services' commitment to delivering professional services that positively impact our local community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute structural and civil design projects, beginning with foundational projects such as residential structures, retaining walls, slabs, footings, and other small-scale structures.
* Collaborate with our surveyors, town planners, and project managers to deliver cohesive, multidisciplinary project outcomes.
* Establish internal design processes, standards, and best practices.
* Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of continuous professional development and technical excellence.
* Engage positively with local clients and community stakeholders to ensure projects align with community needs and expectations.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
* Chartered or registered status with a recognised engineering association (preferred).
* Professional experience in structural engineering design, ideally involving small-to-medium scale projects.
* Strong foundational skills in civil infrastructure design (e.g., subdivisions, drainage, roads).
* Proficiency in relevant engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d, SpaceGass, or equivalent).
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong leadership potential and desire to build and lead an engineering team.

* Land Rezoning Applications: we are currently engaged to provide engineering services to support the rezoning of rural land in accordance with the Rural Residential Lands Strategy. we are providing engineering services through the oversight and delivery of traffic impact assessments, subdivision layouts and proposals, and design of infrastructure upgrades to support the proposal.
* Subdivision Master Planning: we are currently engaged to develop a masterplan of approximately 200 urban lots. we have provided engineering services through the delivery of a masterplan which considers the existing land topography and road networks to inform a subdivision and staging layout, which takes into consideration the necessary services of water supply, sewerage and stormwater infrastructure.
* Detailed Design: we are currently engaged to develop the detailed subdivision works certificate designs for multiple subdivision projects, completing detailed designs in accordance with the development consents and the design specifications of Council.
