Your Opportunity as an Asset Officer
The Asset Officer plays a vital role within the Strategic Asset Management Team, providing technical support, project coordination and asset data expertise. Reporting to the Coordinator Asset Data and Systems, you will assist in a wide range of asset‑related tasks that support informed decision‑making and long‑term asset planning.
In this role, you will:
* Provide technical assistance across asset management activities
* Maintain and update asset registers and ensure data accuracy
* Assist with planning, inspections, and data collection activities
* Engage with internal stakeholders and community representatives on asset-related matters
* Support small projects and improvement initiatives
* Supervise contractors as required to ensure work meets Council standards

What You Will Bring
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to continuous improvement.
Essential:
* Tertiary qualifications in asset management, engineering, environmental management, or a closely related discipline
* Class C driver licence
* Demonstrated experience in asset management, project support, or a related field
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
* Proven problem‑solving skills and the ability to interpret technical information
Highly Regarded:
* Experience supervising contractors or supporting field-based asset investigations
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans or specifications
* Data analysis skills and familiarity with asset systems or GIS tools
* A proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and quality outcomes

* Package: $88,129 - $98,706 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. Salary will be paid dependant on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
* Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
