The role provides a coordinated approach to care for women with highrisk pregnancies accessing the MFMU.The Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFMU) is an outpatient service that offers expertiseto obstetricians and the broader SWSLHD in the management of complexpregnancies. The unit works in conjunction with other specialties including ClinicalGenetics, Neonatology and Paediatrics.As The CMS2 The Successful Applicant Will Provide provision of leadership in the development of the clinical midwifery specialty of MFMU. Participate in the teaching of nursing, midwifery and medical students and medical staff. Participating in the teaching and mentoring of inexperienced staff. The position reports to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Service via the Midwifery Unit Manager, CC1B and the Nurse Manager for Women’s & Children’s Health. The lowest rate of Caesarean section for a Level 6 service within the Women’s and Children’s HealthCare Australia Collaborative. Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
