Your new role
Your new role will be inclusive of but not limited to the following duties:
* Lead and mentor a dedicated team of retail and warehouse staff
* Provide expert advice and quotes for trade and retail customers
* Oversee inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships
* Ensure daily operations, safety standards, and team productivity
* Track KPIs, manage budgets, and support pricing strategy
* Drive customer satisfaction and build long-term business relationships
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role and perform at the level expected, you will have:
* Strong background in building or construction (trade qualified preferred)
* Experience running your own construction business
* Proven leadership in retail hardware, timber, or building supply
* Excellent communication, quoting, and customer service skills
* Ability to manage POS/inventory systems; forklift license a plus
* Willing to get hands-on when required—manual handling included
