We are seeking a skilled Compensation Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing workers compensation claims and injury management support services to a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries.

The Role
">
You will provide claims consulting services to a portfolio of clients, including:
">
* Providing advice and advocacy across the fundamental drivers that impact frequency, severity, and duration of workers' compensation claims;
">
* Providing advice and support through the initial stages of an injury and potential high-risk claims;
">
* Engaging in regular and ongoing discussions with insurers ensuring initial and ongoing claims management strategies are implemented and appropriate investigations are conducted until claim finalisation;
">
* Participating in claims reviews, case conferences, and other strategic claim meetings as required to drive outcomes;
">
* Providing a help desk service for technical advice;
">
* Representing clients at formal and informal proceedings as required (e.g., District Court).

End-to-End Return to Work and Injury Management Services
">
You will also provide end-to-end return to work and injury management services to a portion of SME clients, including:
">
* Providing an initial point of contact for work-related injuries to undertake initial triage and set the RTW strategy in consultation with key client stakeholders;
">
* Providing day-to-day management of workers compensation claims, including claim lodgements, certificate management, development of RTW plans, developing, actioning, and monitoring claim management strategies;
">
* Facilitating collaboration between the injured worker, key client stakeholders, insurers, rehabilitation providers, lawyers, and medical providers to ensure swift claims closure while minimising expense;
">
* Regular attendance at client meetings, including site visits, with key stakeholders to drive cost-efficient outcomes.

Other Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also:

* Collaborate with the workplace risk team and brokers, locally and nationally;
">
* Manage and maintain strategic relationships with insurers and service providers;
">
* Contribute towards business development.

Requirements
">
To be successful in this role, you will have:
">
* Substantial injury management or workers' compensation industry experience;
">
* Proven experience in complex workers compensation and related matters;
">
* Demonstrated understanding of claims management processes;
">
* Excellent oral communication skills, both individually and in groups;
">
* Excellent report writing and correspondence skills.
