Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into more of a leadership role? Knox Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager for our Cardiac ward.

We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a soon to be expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit. Role and responsibilities
* Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
* Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners to enable high quality patient outcomes
* Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
* Effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
* Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
* Looking after a variety of cardiac patients (heart failure, chest pain, arrhythmias)
* Looking after patients pre and post cath lab (coronary angiograms, PPM)
* Preparing patients for CABGs/Valve surgeries
Selection Criteria
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* National Police Clearance and Working with Children check
* Sound clinical knowledge with 2+ years cardiac experience preferred
* Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
* Positive role modelling behaviours
* Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
