Vena Energy is seeking a motivated and safety‑conscious Trade Assistant to join our diverse and inclusive operations and maintenance team. You’ll work in a supportive and collaborative environment where safety, respect, and continuous learning are core values.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Management
Assist with establishing, reviewing and modifying specific plans and procedures (e.g. vegetation maintenance plan)Undertake basic inspections and repair of equipment and machinery on site.Undertake vegetation management and general grounds duties.Undertake general duties including cleaning, housekeeping and inventory control as required.
Risk Assessment and Management
Assist with the implementation of Vena Energy’s Integrated Management System (IMS), across the site.Participate HSSE workshops and other HSSE activities including inspections, audits & investigations.
Must Have
Completion of Year 10 schoolingCompetent in the use of power and hand toolsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environmentStrong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practicesCapable of managing tasks independently and efficientlyGood situational awareness in dynamic work environmentsExperience engaging with local communities or stakeholdersValid Class C Manual Driver’s Licence
Good To Have
Proven experience in a trade or skilled professionMinimum one year of experience working on an operational solar asset or in a similar industryPractical experience with HSSE systems and protocolsSolid understanding of corporate HSSE and quality management systemsKnowledge of legislative requirements related to Landcare and environmental managementProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteForklift operation certification and experienceValid ACDC Licence (Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control)
Preference will be given to locally based applicants and those willing to relocate to site, with a relocation support package available if required.
