Our client is a well-established Australian consumer goods business is experiencing strong growth and continued investment across hardware, automotive, and emerging retail channels. With a reputation for quality products, trusted retail partnerships, and a culture that empowers ownership and impact, the business is entering an exciting next phase driven by product innovation and market expansion.

We are seeking a Business Manager to take ownership of a significant customer portfolio representing a major share of the business. This is a hands-on, high-impact role partnering with leading national retailers across hardware and automotive channels, with clear accountability for commercial performance, sales strategy, and market growth. You will lead range reviews, Joint Business Planning, P&L management, category growth initiatives, and new product activity, with the autonomy to streamline ways of working and unlock new opportunities. Working closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and product development, you'll operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where initiative and execution matter.

The role includes people leadership responsibility, with scope to lead and develop others as the business continues to grow. If you enjoy balancing strategic thinking with rolling up your sleeves to drive results, this role will keep you energised.

What we're looking for

* Proven experience managing and growing major national retail accounts, ideally within Bunnings, hardware, automotive, or adjacent retail channels.
* Strong commercial leadership, with hands-on capability across P&L ownership, JBPs, range reviews, and category growth
* Confidence leading others, either through direct people management or senior cross-functional influence
* Experience operating in growth, change, or transformation environments, with the ability to bring clarity, structure, and pace
* A commercially curious, relationship-driven operator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Demonstrated success in identifying growth opportunities, driving NPD, and delivering customer-led solutions
* Ability to balance growth with margin, forecasting accuracy, and commercial discipline
