About the role
We're seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Wound Management Clinic in a part-time capacity. You'll provide expert clinical care and support within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on assessment, treatment, and care planning for referred clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Collaborate with services like Nutrition and Podiatry
- Educate clients on self-care and lead quality improvement initiatives
- Work with teams to strengthen wound care systems
Position overview
- Employment Type: Part time (32 hours per fortnight), On-going position
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant A
- Salary Range: $116,760.80 pro rata, plus superannuation
What you bring
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Postgraduate qualification in wound management, plus at least 12 months of full-time equivalent experience in a clinical wound care setting; or
- A minimum of four years of nursing experience, including three years specifically in wound management
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience in mentoring less experienced nurses
- Ability to educate healthcare professionals and community groups on wound care practices
