Xylem is seeking a Service Technician - Field to work in our Kalgoorlie branch. The role involves servicing customers in the field across the region, which requires travel and spending multiple nights away from home. When not in the field, duties will be performed within the workshop, primarily repairing Xylem equipment with a focus on Godwin diesel pump sets.
Candidates should have a mechanical trade qualification, preferably with a diesel focus, enjoy troubleshooting, be solutions-oriented, adhere to our "Accept Only Zero" safety culture, and provide exceptional customer service.
The Role
1. Manage all aspects of workload independently with high autonomy.
2. Coordinate workloads with the Service Supervisor.
3. Manage a service vehicle, ensuring it is fitted with necessary parts and tools.
4. Communicate directly with customers to recommend improvements, upgrades, and solutions.
5. Train and support other employees, including temporary or contract staff.
6. Liaise with managers to support team goals and efficiency.
7. Perform on-site servicing and emergency repairs of Xylem products.
8. Prepare service reports and updates.
9. Repair, monitor, and install equipment as needed.
10. Inspect and test products prior to dispatch.
About You
1. Trade qualified in mechanical and/or electrical fitting.
2. Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
3. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
4. Ability to travel throughout the Goldfields Region.
