As a key player in our Housing Pathways Program, you will play a vital role in delivering life-changing services with compassion and integrity.
About the Job
* Support clients referred through the justice system to overcome complex barriers contributing to homelessness.
* Assess housing needs, develop tailored support plans, and connect individuals to essential services.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and address immediate and long-term housing needs for clients on bail.
* Advocate for access to housing options and support services.
* Collaborate with clients to create and review individual case plans.
* Provide outreach and case management support in line with our service models.
* Work closely with relevant stakeholders, including Court Services Victoria and external services.
* Assist clients impacted by family violence to access support packages.
* Promote culturally safe, inclusive, and accessible service delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A degree (or relevant qualification with substantial experience) in Social Work or a related field.
* Sound knowledge of the homelessness sector, systems, and legislation.
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including those in contact with the justice system.
* Excellent networking and advocacy skills.
* An understanding of trauma-informed care and cultural safety practices.
* A valid driver's licence and current Working with Children's Check.
