What you'll do
As the Head of Promotions at Woolworths, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a promotions culture that aligns with our broader strategic vision of building lasting trust with both our customers and team members. You will be responsible for harmonising our diverse promotional landscapes to ensure Woolworths remains the market leader in competitiveness and value. Leading a high-performing team of 21 (3 direct reports), you will act as a strategic bridge between the Commercial, Marketing and Analytics departments, fostering collaborative relationships that deliver shared business outcomes. Your focus will be on simplifying complex decision-making for both suppliers and buyers by bringing all banners under a single span of control. You won't just manage; you'll empower the wider commercial team by developing sophisticated frameworks and tools, coaching them to achieve ambitious OKRs and ensuring our promotional output meets the highest possible standards.
To succeed, you will combine a future-facing strategic mindset with deep advocacy for our customers. You will navigate the external competitive environment with precision, differentiating strategies between customer types to maximise every opportunity across our promotional frameworks. Whether you are supporting the strategic growth of our "Lower Shelf Price" program or establishing common measurement matrices for performance, your work will be defined by a commitment to transparency, innovation, and the delivery of meaningful value to millions of Australians every day.

As a transformation specialist, you don't just manage the present; you actively challenge the status quo. You are an expert at interpreting complex data to identify growth opportunities and driving the large-scale change necessary to capture them. You thrive in high-pressure environments, maintaining a "big picture" focus on long-term OKRs while delivering against tight deadlines.
As well as your extensive experience coaching high-performing teams and fostering a culture of empowerment, you'll be adept at managing a range of diverse stakeholders. This allows you to build deep trust, ensuring our frameworks are strategically integrated into our wider business goals.
