As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing basic counselling, mentoring and support to young people aged 12-18 years old who are at high risk and presenting complex needs.

You will work collaboratively with the Team Leader and Program Manager to implement a case management approach to service delivery, including strengths-based needs assessments.

This role requires a strong understanding of community development principles, as well as experience in outreach work in community settings.

Additionally, you will need to have tertiary level qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Social Sciences or related disciplines, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in general counselling, family support and/or youth counselling.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide basic counselling, mentoring and support to young people aged 12-18 years old.

* Conduct outreach work in community settings, including parks and shops, home settings and detention centres.

Requirements:

* Tertiary level qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Social Sciences or related disciplines.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in general counselling, family support and/or youth counselling.
* Experience in outreach work in community settings.
* Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months validity).
* Valid driver's license and own vehicle (willingness to use tour vehicle for outreach work).
* Valid Working with Children Check.
* Ability to work across diverse cultures.
