Senior Collection Coordinator, Exhibitions
University of Melbourne, Part Time; Fixed Term for 12 Months, 12 Months.
Base pay range: A$100,847.00/yr - A$109,163.00/yr plus 17% super. Salary is pro‐rated for part time.
This role leads exhibition programming across five iconic university venues and works closely with the Collections, Curatorial and Exhibitions teams to ensure successful delivery and dispersal of exhibitions. It offers a chance to enhance cultural engagement and contribute to the university's strategic direction.
Responsibilities
* Advocate for Collection interests by representing and facilitating display and conservation requirements within exhibition project teams.
* Manage exhibition logistics, including inward loans, agreements, packing, freight and insurance for temporary exhibitions.
* Enhance collection standards through development of documentation standards, workflows and guidelines.
* Support academic engagement by facilitating displays, workshops and internships for students.
Qualifications
* Experience managing local, national and international loans and commissions, with expertise in contract management, logistics and risk mitigation, and strong understanding of conservation principles.
* Experience with EMu Collection Management system or similar.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, working with lenders, freight companies and insurance brokers.
* Ability to prepare and analyse registration budgets and manage expenditures.
* Strong initiative, respect and teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Relevant tertiary degree and/or sector experience.
