Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Technician to support the delivery of high-quality dental laboratory services at Dentique Dental Spa. This role is responsible for the construction, repair, and customisation of dental appliances, working closely with dental practitioners to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across all cases.
This position plays a key role in supporting clinical outcomes by ensuring dental appliances are fabricated to specification, meet quality standards, and are delivered within required timeframes. The role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage laboratory workflows within an established professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret prescriptions and technical instructions to determine specifications for dental appliances.
* Prepare dental casts and digital models from supplied impressions to support fabrication processes.
* Fabricate crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances using appropriate materials in accordance with prescribed designs.
* Operate and maintain digital laboratory equipment, including CAD/CAM software and milling systems.
* Work with materials such as ceramics, zirconia, PMMA, and composite resins to produce dental restorations.
* Perform digital design of temporary and final restorations using dental CAD software.
* Construct frameworks and components ensuring proper alignment, occlusion, and functional performance.
* Arrange denture teeth to achieve required aesthetics and functional balance.
* Finish appliances through trimming, shaping, and polishing to meet required quality standards.
* Perform final quality checks to ensure restorations meet prescribed specifications and aesthetic expectations prior to delivery.
* Support the ongoing improvement of digital workflows and laboratory processes within the practice.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant qualification in Dental Technology at Diploma level or higher (or equivalent).
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Experience with digital dentistry (CAD/CAM) highly regarded.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
