This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of end-to-end financial operations in a high-performing, values-driven business.About the RoleReporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations across all departments including Sales, Service, Parts, and Administration.
You\'ll oversee a small team, lead financial reporting processes, support payroll, and ensure compliance with taxation and accounting standards.Your responsibilities will include:Overseeing daily accounting operations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenancePreparing monthly management reports and supporting statutory returns (BAS, FBT, GST, PAYG)Managing accounts payable, receivable, and payroll supportSupporting annual budgets, forecasting, and external audit processesLeading and developing a small administration and accounts teamSupporting continuous improvement across systems, reporting, and financial controlsCollaborating with department heads and senior leadership on financial performanceAbout YouYou're a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong background in accounting operations, preferably in the automotive or dealership environment.
You enjoy improving systems, mentoring others, and working collaboratively across departments.What you'll bring to the table:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CA/CPA desirable but not essential)5+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally in a dealership or multi-entity environmentStrong knowledge of Australian tax and financial reporting requirementsProficiency in accounting software (TUNE, Revolution Next, Xero preferred) and ExcelDemonstrated experience managing and mentoring a small teamExceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong internal relationshipsStrong organisational and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detailWhy Join Us?
