The role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a kitchen assistant to join our Catering team located in our Brisbane office on a full time basis, Monday to Friday.
As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for washing dishes and maintaining a clean, organised workspace. You will also support food preparation to help our Chefs deliver high‑quality dishes for staff and corporate clients.
Key responsibilities include:
* Dishwashing and ensuring timely clean up of equipment.
* Ensure food preparation areas and associated equipment meet appropriate standards of cleanliness.
* Assist in the preparation of food for : Client functions and events. Staff events, including morning and afternoon teas; Working lunches ; and Our on-site café.
* Comply with all City Council health requirements.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Relevant food safety qualifications
* Experience in corporate kitchens would be highly regarded;
* Passion for producing high quality food;
* Strong work ethic and an ability to remain calm under pressure;
* Excellent team work skills;
* Strong attention to detail.
