**The position**
The Projects / Operations Manager position will play a pivotal role in leading multiple workstreams and managing resources to fulfill deliverables for a wide range of projects. This will take an agile problem solver who can quickly adapt to project needs and create solutions for our internal teams and our clients. You will need to ensure projects are brought in safely, on budget, on spec and on time. You will be supported by our team of supervisors, project managers and business support staff.
The role also oversees the regional workshop, ensuring safety of people and equipment and efficient day to day operations.
**Our future Projects / Operations Manager will have**:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience running projects; ensuring the outcome is as per the client's expectations, completed within budget and on time.
- The ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with a variety of trades, customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Time management and organisational skills, adept at keeping multiple balls in the air and managing many priorities.
- With a trades background you will have an eye for detail. The work is high quality and you need to be your own quality control officer.
- Ability to coordinate contractors, employees and apprentices across different work sites, maximising resource utilisation throughout the region.
- Exceptional problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate effective management techniques to ensure our team performs at its best.
- Computer skills.
- Previous experience in working in pharmaceutical, food and beverage processing industry or Stainless Steel Fabrication and Installation.
- Must be based in Melbourne.
- A current C class drivers licence.
