Dispatcher
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
* Communicate haul requests to drivers via offered communication methods.
* Understand driver and vehicle capability to perform the requested load.
* Promptly communicate any delays, issues, or concerns with completing the requested load to customers.
* Answer inbound calls, manage emails and plan loads for available owner operators.
* Must be familiar or willing to train with DOT/FMCSA safety regulations.
* Close orders and process paperwork to assist with billing.
Experience:
* 2+ years of prior dispatching experience needed
* Experience dispatching tractor trailers for container drayage is needed
* Prior knowledge of the transportation industry is a must
* Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
