IT Systems Administrator (Level 3)
Permanent | Full Time | Wingfield, SA (On-site)
About Intercast & Forge
Intercast & Forge is Australia's largest iron foundry and a market leader in its sector, supplying Australian and global rail, automotive, and general engineering industries from our Adelaide production facility.
Intercast & Forge is part of the Delachaux Group, a global industrial group with operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. This provides access to established global IT standards, enterprise systems, and specialist support, while maintaining strong local decision-making and autonomy.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage and support IT systems at our Wingfield manufacturing site. This is a hands-on, on-site role where you will act as the primary IT contact for both office and production users and take ownership of day-to-day IT operations.
While the role is site-based, you won't be working in isolation. The position reports to the IT Manager based in Sydney and is supported by the wider Delachaux Group IT team, providing access to enterprise platforms, global standards, and specialist expertise.
This role is intended to evolve over time. It is ideally suited to a technically capable Systems Administrator who is looking to step into a broader leadership or site-management role within the next 2–3 years. As the role matures, you will take on greater responsibility across systems, projects, vendors, and stakeholder engagement, with clear scope to progress into an IT leadership position.
The environment will suit someone who is curious about manufacturing and operational technology (OT) and comfortable working at the intersection of IT systems and production operations. You'll be supporting systems that directly enable manufacturing, where reliability, safety, and uptime are critical.

· Monitor and respond to security events in line with group policies
· Liaise with the Delachaux Group IT team and external vendors

· Strong technical knowledge across Windows servers, PC hardware, networking, and mobile devices
· Experience working within structured or enterprise IT environments
· Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments highly regarded
· Sound understanding of networking, security, and backup principles
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Comfortable working autonomously on site while collaborating with remote teams
· Professional, reliable, and stakeholder-focused, with an interest in leadership and growth
What We Offer
· A permanent, full-time role with a stable and well-established international manufacturing group
· High ownership and autonomy over site-based IT operations
