We were the first school in Australia to provide a retail Hair and Beauty service to members of the public from its own commercial salon on the school site.

**About the Role**:
Ipswich State High School is seeking Permanent Canteen Assistant to work within their team of 3 Permanents and multiple casuals as well as volunteers and student helpers in their award winning school run canteen. Shifts are Thursday and Friday 7.30am - 2.30pm. Ipswich SHS prides itself in offering a green menu featuring home cooked meals and other healthy meal options prepared fresh on site daily. We look forward to working with you to create fresh home cook meals and trying new recipes ideas.You must work efficiently under strict timeframes and guidelines whilst adhering to health & safety and safe food/hygeine practices. You must display high level communication skills, provide quality catering and customer service skills, be efficient in stock control, ordering, menu planning, money handling, equipment maintenance, cleaning and care. The canteen assistant reports directly to the Canteen Supervisor and Business Manager. The Department of Education requires the successful applicant to possess a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
