Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking multiple skilled and experienced Underground Mucker Loader Operators, in the Production Team at George Fisher Operations. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa.

The Role
We are looking for experienced, motivated and physically fit team members with a strong commitment to safety to join us in the roles of Underground Loader Operators within the Production Team at George Fisher. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe operation of Sandvik and Cat loaders to facilitate the safe and efficient removal of ore and waste material from production stopes and development drives. The roster for this role is on a day and night, 7 on 7 off rotating roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Pre-start checksIdentify and report workplace hazardsOperation of Underground Load Haul Dump Units to safely meet production targets.Sandvik automation or remote loader experience will be highly desirable.Mucking development headings, ore from stopes and waste backfilling.
The successful candidate will possess:
Demonstrated experience in underground mining/mucking time management skills and able to work well under pressureSelf-starter, with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.A proven safety recordGood communication skillsWillingness and ability to learn new processesExcellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skillsFlexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detailHold a current Australian Manual Licence
