Who are we looking for? We're looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Risk & Assurance team based in Brisbane. Join forces with top professionals for high-impact assignments, sustainable energy ventures and landmark infrastructure developments. You will provide strategic, technical and operational guidance to clients facing complex decisions and proactively identify new product and service opportunities to meet evolving client needs. Joining GHD Business Advisory as a Senior Risk Advisor, you will be joining a team that is recognised as market leaders in risk management, allowing your career to go to the next level and beyond. The Senior Advisor plays a key role in the development and mentoring of Graduates and Advisors.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Responsibilities
* Providing innovative risk solutions to our clients across a variety of Industries and Markets
* Leveraging internal and external relationships and contributing to business development activities within the team.
* Performing a variety of risk assessments and techniques for clients
* Advising clients in multiple aspects of risk management
* Facilitation of Risk and Safety related workshops using a variety of techniques (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, bowties, FMECA, SMS)
* Development of Major Hazard Facility Safety Cases
* Provision of Technical Process Safety services
* Undertaking technical risk modelling using various Risk and Consequence software
* Immersing yourself into projects and working with budget and commercial deliverables
* Promoting relationships with existing and potential clients leading to the prospect of repeat business through exceptional client service
* Preparing concise, accurate and focused written analysis, recommendations and presentations under the direction of the team's executive advisors
* Provide direction and coaching to develop team members and contribute to the overall functioning of the Business Group
* Technical leadership and involvement in projects as required and direction and input on tenders/bids or initiative-taking client proposals
* Facilitating client risk workshops
Qualifications
* Degree qualification in Engineering or Science related to process safety (Chemical, Mechanical preferred) or similar discipline
* 7+ years industry experience in a recognised consulting, process safety chemical processing, mining and heavy industry, corporate or regulatory environment
* Experience working in a risk, audit, governance or compliance position
* Strong teamwork and people skills; a proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
* Training in the use of specific risk software will be provided but previous experience in PHAST, SAFETI, @Risk, PHAPro is highly desired
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Strong project management skills
