Finishing Foreman – Bobs Farm NSW – Multi Residential
We are seeking an experienced Multi Residential Finishing Foreman to help the team deliver high end homes in our Over 50's lifestyle village. We have an established trade base and site team about to embark on the next stage of this exciting development.
As Finishing Foreman, you will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager to ensure our high-end homes are completed and presented to the highest standards. You will be supported on site with your established team as well as off site with full support of our wonderful office-based team.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate all finishing trades including carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering, flooring, and landscaping to ensure high-quality finishes.
* Ensure compliance with design specifications and client expectations tailored to over 50s lifestyle living standards (accessibility, comfort, and aesthetics).
* Conduct detailed quality control checks and defect inspections throughout the finishing stages to ensure handovers meet required standards.
* Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate schedules and resolve any finishing-related issues promptly.
* Maintain strong attention to detail to deliver homes that reflect a high standard of workmanship suitable for discerning buyers.
* Monitor and enforce WHS compliance across all finishing activities, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Prepare progress reports and punch lists, and ensure timely completion of finishing works according to project timelines.
* Support smooth handover processes by managing final walkthroughs, addressing last-minute touch-ups, and ensuring all deliverables are complete.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in a Foreman or Leading Hand role, specifically overseeing finishing trades in residential or lifestyle village construction.
* Trade qualification in Carpentry or a related building trade (Cert III or higher desirable).
* Solid understanding of finishing standards and requirements suited to mature-age or retirement living developments (e.g., accessibility, ease of maintenance, quality finishes).
* Strong leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors simultaneously.
* Proven experience interpreting and working from construction drawings and specifications.
* Excellent eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship with minimal defects.
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and site safety practices.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, clients, and suppliers.
* Current White Card and valid driver's licence (mandatory).
* Familiarity with using digital tools for reporting, site documentation, or defect tracking is advantageous.
