Primary Objective

The High Risk Team (HRT) Integration Specialist supports the effective operation of the HRT for the Capricorn Region by coordinating referral documentation, facilitating case updates, and assisting in the administration of multi-agency processes responding to domestic and family violence (DFV) involving high or imminent risk.

Working under the guidance of the HRT Coordinator, this role contributes to timely triage, accurate case tracking in Infoxchange, interagency communication and meeting preparation. The Integration Specialist promotes culturally safe, trauma-informed and victim-survivor-centred practice across all aspects of their work.

Core responsibility of the role include:


• Assist with triage and processing of DFV referrals, ensuring completeness of risk assessment information (e.g., CRASF);


• Support meeting preparation, including compiling agendas, preparing case summaries, and documenting minutes;


• Maintain accurate records and case updates within the Infoxchange system, including safety actions and closure notes;


• Liaise with HRT member agencies to clarify case information and confirm follow-up actions; and


• Uphold principles of cultural safety and trauma-informed practice in all stakeholder interactions.

Qualifications and Experience


• Diploma or Bachelor-level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Community Services (or working towards);


• Experience working in the DFV, child protection, or community services sector;

Core Competencies


• High level of interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders;


• High level of attention to detail and proven ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes;


• Sound understanding of DFV risk factors and safety assessment frameworks;


• Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative, multi-agency team environments;


• Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality, privacy obligations, and trauma-informed practice; and


• Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity using electronic systems (e.g. Infoxchange, Microsoft Office).

Other Requirements


• Flexibility to undertake occasional regional travel or after-hours work as required

This position requires the completion of an Australian Federal Police check, a NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.

The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
