We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia. As a key member of our Technical Services department, you will collaborate closely with senior geotechnical engineers and stakeholders to support a technically complex and expanding mining operation.

* Conduct underground inspections and map geotechnical features.
* Design and reconcile large stoping excavations and mine development.
* Log core and ensure QAQC for ground support installations.
* Monitor excavations through damage mapping and hazard inspections.
* Contribute to mine scheduling and the mining sequence.

Responsibilities
">
For this role, we require:
">
* A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Geoscience focusing on Mining or Geotechnical Engineering.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in underground hard rock mining.
* Proficiency in numerical modelling software (Flac3D and Map3D preferred).
* Familiarity with mine design software (e.g., Deswik Suite).
* Clear communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-resolution skills.
* A high level of accuracy and time management.
* Experience with Geotechnical software packages is beneficial.
