Café or Restaurant Manager Job
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Café/Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house and back-of-house staff at our Restaurant on Stradbroke Island. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced hospitality settings, value teamwork, and be committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate daily café/restaurant operations to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality food and beverages.
* Lead and train front-of-house and back-of-house staff to achieve optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
* Oversee rosters, stock ordering, supplier relationships, and cost control to maintain profitability and efficiency.
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
* Resolve customer feedback and complaints professionally to build trust and loyalty.
* Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations to protect employees, customers, and the environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 18 years old with full Australian working rights.
* Proven at least 1 year of full-time experience in a similar hospitality or customer service management role.
* Hold industry-relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III in Hospitality or higher.
* Strong leadership and team-building skills to motivate and empower staff.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and colleagues.
* Knowledge of food handling, hygiene standards, and POS systems to ensure efficient and effective operations.
* Barista skills or food service experience preferred but not essential.
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
