Pel-Air is recruiting for the full-time position of B1.1 or B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) for its’ Brisbane base.
Reporting:
This position reports to the relevant base Line Maintenance Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft and aircraft components within a maintenance team.
2. Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirements
3. Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment
4. Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary
5. Observe all standards and procedures contained within Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, as well as individual aircraft systems maintenance.
Essential Selection Criteria:
6. B1.1 or B2 Type rated licence.
7. A demonstrated ability to perform aircraft and component maintenance, modification and troubleshooting in accordance with regulatory requirements, under minimal supervision and to strict deadlines.
8. Ability to work a flexible 38-hour work week plus additional hours as required.
9. Willingness to accept the work environment of aircraft heavy maintenance, including component repair and refurbishment maintenance.
10. A sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and documentation
11. Working knowledge of WH&S procedures
12. A valid driver’s licence
13. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
14. A high level of motivation with a team-focused work ethic
15. Flexibility with working hours
16. Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.
Preferred Selection Criteria:
17. SAAB B1 and B2 licence highly desirable
18. Experience on transport category aircraft
19. Line maintenance operations experience
20. Holding of other aircraft type ratings will be an added advantage
