Offer description

YOUR NEW EMPLOYER

Adept Engineering Australia is the largest independent pressure vessel inspection company in the country, known for helping businesses across mining, manufacturing, retail and healthcare stay safe and compliant.

Their clients range from Woolworths, Coles and Kmart to mines, hospitals, wineries and industrial sites across Australia and New Zealand. With a reputation technical excellence and genuine care for safety, Adept recently won a national audit award for increasing process efficiency and continues to grow.

This is a team that takes pride in what they do. They value honesty, accountability and the satisfaction that comes from knowing their work literally keeps workplaces safe.

YOUR NEW ROLE

Safety is sexy. You will be part of something important in ensuring workplaces are safe and compliant.

As a Pressure Vessel Inspector, you will be hands-on inspecting pressure vessels, boilers and related equipment to ensure compliance and safety standards are met. You will conduct physical inspections, climb ladders, work in confined spaces and prepare independent reports based on your findings. The work is varied, practical and purposeful, every inspection contributes to safer operations across industries.

This is an autonomous role that suits someone who enjoys working independently. You will complete around 3 months of training alongside experienced inspectors before moving to solo field work.

Travel is a big part of the job, around 2-3 weeks each month with trips across Australia (and occasionally New Zealand). You will be paid allowances in line with Fair Work standards, and Adept encourages flexibility when scheduling travel to make the most of your time away.

You will also work closely with clients, managing inspections, explaining compliance outcomes and occasionally having those tough conversations when equipment doesn't pass. Your ability to communicate clearly, stay calm and problem-solve on site will make all the difference.

ABOUT YOU

* Mechanically minded, you've got a knack for understanding how things work.
* Got a trade? Even better
* You will love the idea of travelling and working in diverse, sometimes challenging environments
* You're a practical, quick-thinking and solution-oriented person
* Well-presented and customer minded, you are the face of this business
* You have a strong ability to work unsupervised and to manage your jobs where required
* Your problem-solving skills are essential in this role
* Flexible and willing to travel up to 2-3 weeks every month
* Full driver's license required
* Willing to complete a mining medical and a police check

Does this sound like the fresh start you need? Ready to see the country, make a difference, and earn a solid pay check while doing it?
