Our Austal Defence Shipbuilding team is expanding due to rapid growth and internal promotions, and we're looking for a dynamic Senior Configuration Management Officer to join us. Key Responsibilities: Drive the coordination and delivery of project Configuration Management (CM) activities and CDRL deliverables. Ensure timely completion and closeout of CM activities in line with plans and schedules. Capture and manage configuration information and changes using advanced CM tools. Coordinate and conduct Configuration Audits, prepare audit packs, and participate in Physical Configuration Audits. Regularly update and report on CM status. Support the CM Team Lead and act as the CM lead in their absence, showcasing your leadership skills. Process and manage Engineering Changes, ensuring all documentation is complete for review and approval. Manage the distribution of Engineering Changes to relevant stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. Maintain and improve processes to ensure consistent delivery of outputs. Foster teamwork between internal and external parties, integrating disciplines across project activities (e.g., Design to Production, Electrical to Mechanical). Perform secretariate duties for Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards. Your Expertise Working knowledge of configuration management principles, practices, and standards Relevant Configuration Management certification, Maritime degree or Trade qualification preferred.
