Salary
(70,000-80,000+superannuation) Salary Range
Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparing, seasoning, cooking, and presenting food in dining and catering establishments.
- Examining food to ensure quality and freshness.
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities and ensuring compliance with food hygiene regulations.
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding garnishes or other accompaniments.
- Observing workplace health and safety and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Planning and preparing menus in consultation with Chefs and Supervisors.
- Estimating food requirements and ordering supplies.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff as required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Certificate III OR IV in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Cook.
Other Requirements
- Availability to work on weekends and on a rotating roster.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills with a cooperative and professional attitude.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality food and service.
