The role
* Dismantle, inspect, rebuild and test pumps and rotating equipment
* Diagnose mechanical faults, assess equipment condition and identify failure modes
* Measure and set critical clearances, tolerances, shaft run outand alignment requirements
* Replace and install bearings, mechanical seals, gaskets and ancillary components
* Carry out precision fitting, controlled assembly, machining and rebuild work
* Complete laser alignment, balancing, pressure testing and functional checks
* Record inspection findings, measurements, test results and rebuild documentation accurately
About you
* Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
* Strong experience working on pumps or rotating equipment (not essential)
* Confident working to tight tolerances and critical clearances
* Strong understanding of bearings, mechanical seals, shaft alignment, fits and tolerances
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, OEM manuals and technical documentation
* Methodical, safety focused and highly attentive to detail
