Council is seeking an officer to provide professional financial administrative services in accordance with statutory requirements, applicable accounting standards and Council policies. The role will undertake all accounts payable functions including matching and checking supplier/creditor invoices against requisitions and verify the authorisation for the receipt of goods. Undertake accounts receivable functions including generating invoices as requested, ensuring correct accounting treatment of costings and GST. Processing supplier/creditor invoice details into Council's business system, taking advantage of any discounts offered. The successful applicant will have previous experience in a computerised accounting environment undertaking accounts payable/receivable functions in a medium sized organisation. High level of keyboard and computer skills with proven experience in a high-volume data entry environment with attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
MANDATORY:
• Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver's licence
DESIRABLE:
• Certificate III in Financial Services or Business Administration
