This includes desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, standard software, and low-end servers.
You\'ll work on a variety of assignments ranging from routine service calls and hardware break-fix through to more advanced activities such as reloading and re-imaging PCs/laptops, and optimising hardware/software networking products.
Guided by Help Desk or Service Desk teams, you\'ll apply your own knowledge to resolve issues that cannot be fixed remotely, ensuring client satisfaction at every step.
This role provides hands-on variety and is a genuine stepping stone into long-term IT career opportunities at Unisys.Key responsibilitiesPerform service calls across a wide range of IT equipmentCarry out basic installations and upgradesProvide hardware break-fix, troubleshooting, and component replacementComplete installs, moves, adds, and changes in client environmentsProvide desk side support for personal computers and associated softwareSupport printers and low-end servers as requiredHandle routine, non-complex technical problems and escalate where neededMaintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service throughout each interactionWhat we\'re looking forA+ certification or equivalent (highly regarded)Strong knowledge of desktop hardware and software, including Microsoft applicationsBasic troubleshooting and repair ability, with hands-on toolkit experienceValid Australian driver\'s licence and reliable vehicleAbility to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police ClearanceAustralian citizenship (required for security clearance)What you can expectCommencing early October 2025Casual role with days and hours dependent on client service needs (generally 8.30am - 4.30pm)Comprehensive onboarding, including vendor-specific training and in-field shadowingExposure to a wide range of IT environments and technologiesOpportunities to progress your IT career within Unisys\' global networkAbout MEGTAt MEGT, we support people to build lasting careers and help businesses recruit, train, and grow their workforce.
