The Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Leasing Manager to join our group of dedicated professionals in the newly formed Transport Portfolio Land and Property Service (TPLPS) Team located in Perth on Adelaide Terrace.
TPLPS provides Portfolio-wide Commercial and Leasing services to Main Roads, METRONET, the Department of Transport, and the Public Transport Authority (PTA). The team is a consolidation of the Transport portfolio’s land administration and property management functions and incorporates staff from:
1. Former Main Roads Property Management Branch
2. Department of Transport Accommodation & Building Services
3. Department of Transport Maritime Services – Property Services Team
4. PTA's Property and Land Services Branch.
As the Commercial Leasing Manager, you will be charged with the management of a significant commercial property portfolio which is leased to third parties on behalf of the Public Transport Authority.
We’re looking for an experienced commercial and leasing professional who can continue to modernise our strategic management approach and continue to grow our relationships with a range of stakeholders.
You’ll play a key role providing specialist assistance in the review of PTA property assets considering options to retain, lease or dispose.
This position will work closely with a large range of internal stakeholders as well as our specialised external consultancies.
This is a full-time permanent appointment available to fill immediately.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.

About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
5. Relevant technical expertise, including:
6. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or substantial practical experience in the property/real estate profession, with significant experience in leasing/licencing and the strategic management of a commercial leasing portfolio
7. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and property analysis.
8. Comprehensive leadership, management and organisational skills, including:
9. Effective contract management skills;
10. Sound knowledge of and/or experience in application of WA Procurement Rules;
11. Financial management skills including developing and managing a budget;
12. Demonstrated ability to strategically manage a portfolio of projects with competing priorities and deadlines;
13. The ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision.
