About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead safety initiatives and regulatory compliance across our transport operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving our Safety Management System (SMS), supporting internal audits, managing incidents, and liaising with government and regulatory stakeholders.
This position ensures adherence to transport legislation, child safety standards, and contract requirements while fostering a proactive safety culture among staff.
* Oversee and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) and compliance registers.
* Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments across sites and services.
* Lead investigations into incidents, implementing corrective actions.
* Monitor and interpret regulatory changes.
* Maintain operator accreditation and training records.
* Support audit readiness.
* Promote and uphold Child Safe Standards and reporting obligations.
You'll Work Closely With
* Internal: Managing Director, Operations Team, Drivers, Fleet and Workshop Staff.
* External: Transport Authorities, Schools, and Child safety agencies.
What We Need From You
* Experience in safety, compliance, or transport operations.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
* Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal abilities.
* Competency in Microsoft Office and safety/compliance platforms.
