Overview
Systems Planning and Analysis Australia Pty Ltd (SPA) has a near-term need for an experienced Maritime Warfare Officer to support a range of Maritime Domain programs and projects as a Military Operations Analyst.
Responsibilities
* Develop innovative concepts of operations and capability plans, and translate them into detailed written and graphical descriptions to support tactical, operational, and strategic analysis.
* Provide specialist program support and contribute to specialist capability modelling and analysis to inform maritime capabilities across the One Defence Capability Lifecycle.
* Support and lead the development and employment of modelling and simulation analysis tools and brief government decision makers at all levels.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* NV1 (Secret) security clearance or higher, or the ability to attain and hold an NV1 clearance
* 5–10 years of operational maritime warfare experience
* Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM); may substitute a non-technical degree with demonstrated technical acumen (e.g., successful completion of Capability Technology Management Program, or similar)
Desired Qualifications:
* Principal Warfare Officer qualification
* Experience in more than one of: Surface Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Strike Warfare, Mine Warfare, Amphibious Warfare, or Aviation Warfare
* Ability to apply innovative concepts, quantitative tools, and creative data visualization methods to address Naval issues, and briefing results to executive leaders
* Experience in Defence capability development and management, including requirements definition, capability definition document generation, modelling and simulation, or operations research
