We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Category Manager to drive commercial strategy and supplier performance for critical cloud and infrastructure services.
This high-impact role involves managing a portfolio of key IT suppliers, leading negotiations, and delivering cost-effective, value-driven outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, legal, finance, and IT, making crucial procurement decisions and shaping the future of our IT supplier ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
* Supplier & Contract Management
o Lead strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) for cloud and infrastructure vendors, focusing on performance, governance, and value delivery.
o Align vendor engagements with business goals, ensuring contractual compliance and milestone achievement.
o Advise internal stakeholders on supplier performance, risks, and contract management best practices.
* Strategic Procurement & Category Management
o Design and execute category strategies supporting commercial and technical objectives.
o Drive cost efficiency and sustainable value creation in cloud and infrastructure procurement.
o Collaborate with engineering, legal, and finance teams to build and reinforce effective procurement policies.
o Negotiate commercial agreements to secure favorable terms, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier engagement efficiency.
* Stakeholder Collaboration & Cost Optimization
o Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on high-value IT procurement matters.
o Lead RFP processes, gather business requirements, and influence sourcing decisions through data-driven strategies.
o Maintain a deep understanding of cost structures, contractual frameworks, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing strategies.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field (MCIPS / ISM certification is a plus).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in IT cloud and infrastructure procurement, managing high-value, critical IT contracts.
* Expertise in supplier relationship management, category strategy, and contract negotiations.
* Strong commercial acumen to drive value and manage procurement risks.
* Effective communicator and influencer with stakeholder engagement skills across legal, finance, and IT.
* Passion for structured, efficient, and value-led procurement processes in a fast-paced global environment.
