This strategic and consultative team builds meaningful relationships with clients through their knowledge of IT services, industry trends, and pain points. Members include business development staff, client partners, alliances and partnerships managers, industry advisors, and operational leads.As a Principal Technical Industry Advisory Consultant (Insurance) at Endava, you will have at least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of technology, stakeholder management, presales, sales presentations, and post-sales activities.You will play a key role in business-level conversations during pre-sales efforts and lead engagements focused on delivering tailored solutions to our clients. Your architecture experience within the insurance sector will be crucial in assessing organizational capabilities and readiness for change, reviewing architectures, and providing strategic recommendations to realize business outcomes.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Endava and client Enterprise & Solution Architects to analyze, define, and refine architecture outputs.Translate customer business goals into future-state technology and architecture roadmaps and proposals.Shape project scope, requirements, and technical approaches.Review customer solutions proactively and propose improvements aligned with client goals.Work with sales and commercial teams to shape and pitch strategic engagements.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders on client engagements.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.Minimum of 10 years of expertise in the insurance industry.Strong team player with a collaborative attitude, capable of playing a central role in industry-aligned activities.Experience in aligning technology strategies with business objectives, developing architectures in large corporate environments.Practical architecture experience in the insurance sector, including capability mapping and establishing architectural principles.Experience working with enterprise architecture, agile teams, and operational units.Ability to work with sales and account teams to align responses to stakeholder needs.Proven ability to become a trusted advisor to senior technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.Good understanding of agile delivery models and client/stakeholder expectation management.Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.Commercial acumen to present compelling business cases for change.Experience in areas such as London markets, personal and commercial lines, brokerage, reinsurance.Knowledge of architecture domains (security, data, infrastructure), frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), and modern practices (microservices, cloud, DDD).Familiarity with modern software development practices like DevOps and cloud computing.Preferred: programming experience (Java, .Net, Python) and familiarity with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, ISC).Additional InformationWe offer a range of benefits to empower our employees, including competitive salaries, share plans, career development opportunities, learning programs, flexible work arrangements, health and wellbeing initiatives, and community engagement activities.Our commitment to diversity and inclusion drives us to create a community where everyone feels valued and respected.
